Blogging the Study Leave: The First Morning

June 10, 2007

Wow, some of you must have really been praying, for this morning I awakened at 5:45 and had a great time meditating on Psalm 102

13You will arise and have pity on Zion;
   it is the time to favor her;
   the appointed time has come.
14For your servants hold her stones dear
   and have pity on her dust.
15Nations will fear the name of the LORD,
   and all the kings of the earth will fear your glory.

Do you hold dear the stones of Zion?  We are the living stones of the church.   The favor of God rests upon his people as he stirs up our spirits to love one another and intercede for one another.  Our love for the church leads us to pour out our hearts to God in prayer for his blessing upon us.   And when God blesses us, the result is that all the ends of the earth fear Him.  God bless CEFC and all the assemblies of the saints this morning.  Let me know how you saw this prayer answered today!

    In other words, how was church today?

    It was a treat to hear from Tracy, someone with more grey hair that the avarage CEFC elder! Stories he told about you! Woo hoo! – any other old friends coming soon? LOL

    I got a kick out of his three responses to the great commission – 1. There are zealous “go”ers. 2. There are zealous senders. and 3. (he had me hooked waiting forthis one!) Disobedience…

    So I fit in the sender bit right now – we’ll see what another 12 years (til P and K are out of hs) brings.

    Indeed I benefit from Tracy’s grey hairs. Stories about me? Dare I ask?

    One of the many was that you were a curve-breaker in Hebrew class at seminary
