Study Leave

June 8, 2007

I’m leaving in the morning for a week away to study Romans 8:18-11:36.  Today on the Desiring God blog, John Piper posted the testimony of a pastor who was preaching Romans out of the New Perspective and then went away for a study leave and came back a Lutheran.   Please pray for me while I am gone that God will give me eyes to see more clearly the unity of the message of the book so that I can preach it to you with unction in the fall.  Pray especially that I would get lots of blessed sleep and rich experiences of communion with God in the early mornings.

May God bless you with sweet communion with Him in prayer and his word. May God bless CEFC by blessing her pastor.

So, if the New Perspectives guy came back a Lutheran, what will you be when you come back?

May it be profitable to your soul.
