What to Ask For This Christmas

December 4, 2006

Most of my readers are younger than I, so you probably already have an MP3 player.  But if you don’t, you should ask for one this Christmas.  I got one this time last year and it’s been a tremendous blessing to my spiritual life as I have downloaded dozens and dozens of sermons from the internet and listened to them while I walk or drive.   Just this morning I listened to the third of four lectures by Kris Lundgaard on John Owen’s teachings about mortification of sin.  This is the man from whom I stole the video game illustration that I preached two weeks ago.  Download these messages here.

Here’s some other links you can use to fill up your MP3 player with good preaching and teaching.

John Piper sermons

Tim Keller sermons

Mark Driscoll sermons

Martyn Lloyd-Jones sermons (for purchase)

Also, Covenant Theological Seminary has some free course lectures on their website. It’s really good stuff.
