July 28, 2006

A commercial for this week’s 9:30 Adult Sunday School class.  I’m the substitute teacher and I’ll be presenting a Best of The Bruised Reed by Puritan Richard Sibbes.

    It’s a summery summary by a substitute!

Ah, but are you going to offer the First Class Sunday School? I expect only the best, you know…

Amazing. Makes you wonder what other ways they indulge worldliness by “selling” privileges or entitlements.

I have to admit that I thought the nursery article was real.

But a brief tour of their web site quickly told me that they are, in fact, a satire site.

I’m quite thankful that, although the article was plausible, this hasn’t actually happened yet.

As much as I’m embarrassed to not have done the poking around, I’m relieved that it’s a spoof. But even as incredible as it sounds, I’d believe that someone *is* actually doing this, and that many people would read it and think that it’s a good idea.

Ah… the danger of satire… it might give someone a new idea…
