Rarely do I say anything like this out loud, but allow me a couple of brief comments:
1) When I first heard what our governor did, I indulged in a little schadenfreude and had a good laugh. But after a couple of hours, the moral outrage kicked in. I mean, it’s one thing to line your pockets by taking bribes to give away business contracts. But selling a US Senate seat?! That’s one of the top 2 or 3 most powerful positions in the nation. That seems almost treasonous.
2) The Freedom of Choice Act, which Obama has promised to sign, will eradicate state and federal abortion laws the majority of Americans support. FOCA will do away with state laws on parental involvement, on partial-birth abortion, and will compel taxpayer funding of abortions.

I’m with you on FOCA. Ridiculous and sad.

I’m still dismayed at widespread evangelical support for Obama, especially considering that McCain was the first pro-life and pro-environment presidential candidate to ever be nominated by either major party. This election was truly a “no-brainer,” meaning it should have been a slam dunk, but instead it was a manifestation of brainlessness.

The Democrats have slid many FOCA provisions into the so-called health care “reform” bill:
